1. Purpose and acceptance
These terms govern access to and use of the Woyla service. They form a contract between you and the publisher of the service. By creating an account, launching a generation or making a purchase, you accept them without reservation.
If you do not accept these terms, do not use the service. If you are acting on behalf of a legal entity, you declare that you have the authority to bind it.
2. The service
From the information you provide, Woyla produces a personalised song: lyrics, a musical composition, a vocal performance and an audio file ready to be played, downloaded and shared.
- A guided journey — Occasion, brief, style, voice: four steps before launch, with a summary.
- One final version per launch — One final performance is produced for each request, ready to play, download and share.
- A gift page — A shareable address showing the song, a message and an image, viewable without an account.
- Optional publishing — The ability to make a song public in the Explorer, and to take it back down afterwards.
The service evolves. Features may be added, changed or removed; we notify you when a change affects a service already paid for.
3. Your account
You can create an account with a valid email address and password, with Google, or, in the iPhone app, with Apple. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided and for keeping your credentials confidential.
Any action taken from your account is deemed to come from you. Report any unauthorised use to us without delay: we will suspend access for as long as necessary.
You may invite other people into your workspace. They then create songs using that workspace’s notes, and you remain responsible for their use of the service.
4. Notes, subscriptions and prices
The Woyla note is the service’s unit of consumption. A generation consumes a set number of notes, shown before launch. Notes are bought individually or in packs; some offers may carry an expiry date, stated at purchase.
The Creator subscription grants a number of complete songs per period. It renews automatically at each billing date until cancelled. You can cancel at any time: access stays open until the end of the period already paid for, with no renewal afterwards.
Prices are shown inclusive of taxes, in the currency attached to your account — CFA franc, euro or dollar. We may change our prices; new prices never apply to an order already placed nor to a subscription period already paid for.
Notes have no monetary value outside the service. They cannot be resold, transferred or converted into money.
5. Payment
Payments are processed by specialised providers, by bank card or mobile money depending on the country. Banking data is entered with those providers and does not pass through our servers.
Notes are credited as soon as payment is confirmed. In the event of failure, non-payment or a later chargeback, we may suspend access to paid features until the situation is settled.
6. Right of withdrawal
A Woyla song is a personalised digital content, made to your specifications and performed immediately. By launching a generation, you expressly request that immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose, for that service, the right of withdrawal provided by consumer law.
Notes that have been purchased but not yet used remain refundable within fourteen days of purchase, in proportion to the notes left unused. Write to us to request that refund.
If a generation fails for a technical reason attributable to us, the corresponding notes are automatically credited back, with nothing to do on your side.
7. The content you provide
You remain the owner of the text, images and information you upload. You grant us a non-exclusive licence, limited to the time needed, to process them and transmit them to our technical providers for the sole purpose of producing and delivering the song you requested.
You warrant that you hold the necessary rights over what you provide, including over the image and name of the people mentioned. It is up to you to obtain their agreement where the law requires it.
The following are prohibited in particular:
- Unlawful content — Hateful, discriminatory or defamatory statements, incitement to violence or hatred.
- Harm to individuals — Harassment, threats, disclosure of private information, impersonation.
- Sexual content involving minors — An absolute prohibition, with no exception and no mitigating context.
- Imitating existing artists — Any request aiming to reproduce the voice or identity of a real person without their consent.
- Infringement — Using protected lyrics, melodies or trademarks without authorisation.
Briefs go through automatic moderation before generation. A refused brief results in no notes being charged.
8. Your rights over the song
Once the song has been produced and paid for, you hold a worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive right of use: you may play it, download it, keep it, gift it, play it in a private or family setting and share it with your circle.
Commercial exploitation — advertising, resale, synchronisation in a commercial audiovisual work, distribution on streaming platforms — requires our prior written agreement. Write to us: these requests are examined case by case.
Works generated by artificial intelligence fall under a legal regime that is still uncertain in several countries. We therefore do not guarantee that a Woyla song is protectable by copyright in your favour, nor that it is strictly unique: two very similar briefs may produce comparable results.
9. Publishing and gift pages
Your songs are private by default. Creating a gift page or publishing a song in the Explorer makes it playable by anyone holding the link: that is a deliberate decision on your part.
You can withdraw a publication or disable a gift page at any time; the link then stops working. Copies already downloaded by third parties, however, are by nature beyond that withdrawal.
We may remove without notice a publication that breaches article 7, and inform its author of the reasons for the removal.
10. What artificial intelligence implies
The lyrics, the music and the voice are generated by artificial intelligence models. This is neither an artist’s recording nor human composition work, and we never present it as such.
The result carries an element of randomness. An approximate pronunciation, a misplaced syllable or an unexpected reading of a rare word can occur. These are limits of the process, not defects of conformity, and they do not give rise to a refund.
We do not use your briefs, your lyrics or your songs to train our own models.
11. Service availability
We do everything we can to keep the service continuously accessible, without guaranteeing uninterrupted availability. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates or an incident at one of our providers.
Where a prolonged outage prevents the performance of a service already paid for, the notes concerned are credited back.
12. Liability
Our liability is engaged under ordinary law, excluding indirect damage. For any given triggering event, it cannot exceed the amounts you paid over the preceding twelve months.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, in particular in cases of wilful misconduct, gross negligence or harm to personal integrity.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time and request the deletion of your account. That deletion erases the profile, the songs, the audio files and the gift pages; it is permanent.
We may suspend or close an account in the event of a serious breach of these terms, in particular article 7, or of fraudulent use of the service. Except in cases of proven fraud, unused notes are refunded pro rata.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. Nothing in this article deprives a consumer of the mandatory protections granted by the law of their country of residence.
In the event of a disagreement, come to us first: most situations are settled with a single email. Failing an amicable agreement, the competent courts may be seized under the conditions provided by law.
15. Changes to these terms
These terms may be amended. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page, and any substantial change is announced before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the new version.
